Protecting Students

First

Hi, I'm Kelly Tebay!

By this point, you have probably figured out that I'm running to represent us on the Michigan State University Board of Trustees. Why? Well, let me tell you a bit more about myself.

I am a Spartan to the core. I earned both my degrees from MSU: A BA in International Relations from James Madison College and a MS in Law Enforcement Intelligence and Analysis. I bleed green.

When the news broke about the heinous crimes of Larry Nassar, it triggered so many different feelings regarding my alma matter. My heart breaks for the survivors.

There is a cultural problem at MSU. It was an issue I personally experienced as a student and clearly there has been no change for the better. This lack of leadership and lack of support for students must come to an end. It is obvious that students have not come first for some time and enough is enough.

We deserve elected leadership at the board table that always asks questions, that always seeks to be open and honest with the public, and that always knows that the university's foremost responsibility lies with its students.

Michigan State University has a unique opportunity to put all cards on the table and fix these cultural issues. This is our time to lead this university in the right direction. We can be leaders in taking a stand that this lack of accountability is unacceptable. We have a responsibility to our students and to the people of Michigan.

Casting your vote for me can make a positive change in leadership on the Board of Trustees of Michigan State University.

Kelly
